About Us

Pella Engraving & Sign Company started as an engraving shop for a local newspaper, The Pella Chronicle. In 1934, we became an independent company—a trusted provider of premium letterpress printing dies and other prepress services for not only the Chronicle, but news agencies across Iowa.

As the engraving industry grew and evolved, so did PEC. We are still engraving high-quality magnesium dies and printing plates, but our product lineup has expanded to include everything from plaques and awards to nameplates, serial and ID tags, vinyl decals, vehicle wraps, indoor and outdoor signage, and more.

We also continue to build our technical and mechanical capabilities. PEC carefully chooses our equipment to leverage the latest industry technology, which ensures our customers get better products and allows us to meet higher volume demands.
